Xiaomi Smart Band 7

The Mi band 7 seems to weigh a little more. At 13.5g, compared to 12.8g for last year's model, the Band 7 weighs more, although the 0.7g won't be noticeable on the wrist. Xiaomi has also updated the Mi band 7 processor. Now you have Dialog 14706 processor compared to Mi band 6 Dialog 14697. This means you get much smoother transitions and animations in the UI.

The functions have largely remained the same. You now have continuous monitoring of blood oxygen saturation on the Mi Band 7. Last year's model has a blood oxygen saturation or SpO2 monitor, but only if you want to know your SpO2 value. With this year's model, you can set the fitness band to measure your SpO2 after a set period of time. You also get AliPay and the Mi AI app for the Chinese versions, and Amazon's smart voice assistant Alexa for the global version of the Mi Band 7.

Mi Band 7 still doesn't have built-in GPS. This was a long-awaited feature for the Mi band fitness band, but Xiaomi still hasn't included it in this year's model. So if you want built-in GPS, you'll have to buy their smartwatches like the Mi Watch 2.

The Mi band 7 is currently available in China for CNY 239 ($35). That's more or less the same price as last year's model at launch. The NFC model that supports AliPay payments will cost a little more.
